In that span, Insomniac has been acknowledged three consecutive years by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of the Top Small Businesses to Work For in America. It’s the eighth “best workplace” award collected by the company since 2005. The creator of such titles as the “Spyro the Dragon,” “Resistance” and “Ratchet & Clank” franchises, Insomniac Games has been named to this year’s Employers Group list of California’s Best Places to Work, placing fifth in the state. In 14 years, the Burbank-based company has sold more than 32 million games for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 consoles. “We’re everywhere,” said Ted Price, president and chief executive of Insomniac Games, an independent video game developer. ![]() The number of Insomniacs working in Burbank has doubled in the last five years, from 100 to 200. ![]()
